Ms. Shail Jain

Born on 7 October 1966, after completing B.Sc. Zoology Hons. from Delhi University in 1986, joined Campus Law Center, Delhi University to pursue L.L.B., and graduated in the year 1990. Later, went on to obtain L.L.M. from Kurukshetra University as a sitting judge.

Post completion of L.L.B. cleared the Delhi Judicial Services exam in her first attempt in 1992 and has been a sitting judge since 2 November 1992. Joined as the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Shahdara on 2nd February 2023. Currently serving as the Principal District & Sessions Judge, East since 7th June 2023.

Alongside these notable professional achievements, has co-authored a book titled ‘patent agent examination,’ published by Universal Books, and authored a book of hindi poems titled `Tammanayey.’ Also serves as the Chairperson of Delhi District Court’s Hindi samiti, and has organized, hosted and contributed to various Kavi-sammelan and Kavya Goshti events with original, expressive and euphonious poetry.
